Paul Nelson has been named the manager of the Dan and Ada Rice
Center Fitness Center, Benedictine athletic director Mark McHorney
announced.
Nelson recently completed his sixth season as the head women’s basketball coach. He compiled a record of 89-70.
“We would like to thank Paul for his service to the department as our head women’s basketball coach,” McHorney said. “He was an incredible coach and role model for our players. Certainly, the success of the program can be attributed to his leadership and vision. We are excited that his leadership and vision will now carry into the administration of our fitness facility.”
The Rice/Fitness Center Manager is a new position within the department that is responsible for the management and operation of the Rice Center and its extensive fitness amenities.
“I am very excited to be a part of this new opportunity,” Nelson said. “I look forward to continuing to work with the athletic department and also the Benedictine community.”
Benedictine will be conducting a national search for a head women’s basketball coach.
