Ohio Wesleyan likely knocked Wittenberg clear out of the playoff picture with a 57-52 upset of the NCAC's No. 2 seed. OWU beat the defending national runners-up in January 70-48 and took two of three from the Tigers. The Battling Bishops, who have not been to the tournament since winning the 1988 national title, face host Wooster for the automatic bid on Saturday.

Lake Forest put what would appear to be an end to Grinnell's run, upending the Midwest Conference men's top seed 94-79. The Foresters, who have won seven of eight, face Carroll. Favorites advanced in the ASC men's and women's, with East Texas Baptist, Howard Payne and McMurry advancing on the women's side and Mississippi College and the three ASC-West teams advancing in men's.

Lehman claimed the second of 63 women's tournament bids by defeating Baruch 52-51 in the CUNYAC championship. The Lightning held the Bearcats to just two points on free throws over the final 11:45 of the game. Friday night's women's scores.
